Maumere Bay: Nice white beaches, snorkelling and diving spots. Should definitely plan to take a day trip by boat, unique fisherman villages and beautiful panorama along by Maumere bay. You may also see the dolphin and Whales during the sea trip. Boat trip to the islands is highly recommended.
Watublapi village : Watublapi village is traditional village well know with traditional “ Tenun Ikat “ weaving. All the process and production by using all natural vegetable dyes, including indigo.
Gunung Egon (Egon Volcano) : You can climb the nearby Volcano Egon. It will be very good experience with the beautiful view, even for the beginner.

The traditional village of Sikka: Sikka village are beautiful by the south beach in the southwest part of Maumere. In Sikka village where 150 year old Portuguese church are located. The village are also famous for the “ Tenun Ikat” weaving.
Koka Beach : Koka beach is a beautiful white sands beach in southwest part of Maumere. The blue and clean water and the two big rocks become separator of two beaches and the fresh fish for lunch make Koka beach is a hidden paradise.
Paga Beach : Paga beach is about half way along the main road from Maumere to Kelimutu. In Paga beach you will find the fresh good grilled fish from the fisherman for lunch or you may also have it in the local restaurant the sea food soup while enjoying the beautiful beach or sea view.
Kelimutu Volcano: The volcano with three colours lakes. It is about 3.5 hours away from Maumere. It has three crater lakes due to different mineral colours that are constantly changing. On the way up to the montaine, you will enjoy the many different kind of flora and also monkey. It is a National Park.
Komodo and Rinca Island: The islands of Rinca and Komodo can be reached by boat from Labuan Bajo. Komodo Island is famous for Komodo dragon, the world’s largest living lizard. In Rinca island beside famous for the Komodo dragon also populated with many other species such as wild pigs, buffalos and many birds. Both are part of the Komodo National Park.
Larantuka: The port town of Larantuka in the East of Flores can be exploring and visited in a day tour. It goes through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages with many opportunities for photo stops and short walks.
Lembata Island: An attraction on the island of Lembata, east of Flores, is the traditional whale hunt in between May and November.
Flores-Highway: There is only one road from East to West Flores. From Maumere to Labuan Bajo there are "only" 550km but because the landscape, the mountain and also the condition of the Flores Highway which is not always in good condition, is required for 20 hours of pure driving time. To see all the sights comfortably, we recommend for the tour from Maumere to Labuan Bajo 5 days with 4 nights on the road (in Moni, Riung, Bajawa and Ruteng) schedule. It is the most beautiful panorama and landscape also the traditional and unique village. Unforgotable experience.
